Forge creates are idempotent under a caller-minted ForgeCallRequest.client_request_id whole-chain key (the SpawnPeerRequest.client_request_id precedent, agent_gateway.proto:172), deduped by a memo — a client_request_id column + UNIQUE (agent_account_id, client_request_id) index on forge_authored_artifacts, written in the SAME ordered step as the DL-055 row — so a retried create returns the original artifact, a retry after a failed create re-attempts, and the accepted residual window is exactly the forge-success→pre-commit crash gap
