The self-host stack stays a host-level bring-up on a KVM-capable Linux machine (compass-stack up; microVM D3 hard-fail consumed, no compose/Swarm packaging); compass-stack joins the release binary matrix, and the flake + preflight + self-host doc are its install surface — resolving the client-only record’s OQ-3 (RIG-2608)
