The Compass profile is a SUPERSET schema (models + system-prompt corpus + extensions/MCPs + settings), designed in full now; v1 populates and consumes ONLY the model-stack axis (models.manager + models.agents, rendered as the session modelPattern + task.agentModelOverrides). Deferred axes are schema’d for additive activation with no schema break, their shapes PROVISIONAL until first consumption, and the settings-axis precedence vs settings/config.yml decided at activation. Shared anchors with the FROZEN harness lane (RIG-2935): profile concept + registry discipline, split-last-colon selector grammar with effort-ladder-validated thinking suffix, family-as-explicit-registry-data, and the semantic manager key — the schema itself is deliberately NOT shared
